Please note this sideboard is not without its faults. Someone in the past had decided to do an impressively bad paint job on this sideboard. After many hours of sanding I think I have managed to bring it back close to its former glory. The handles and legs have been taken back to bare wood and given two coats of good quality bees Wax. I have sanded them to 1000 grit so they feel very nice to the touch. The draw runners have been waxed so they pull and retract nicely. Unfortunately as can be seen (and probably the reason for the paint job) the top does have some marks and stains which I tried but could not sand out for fear of going through the veneer. I have treated the top with hard wearing varnish. There is one chip to the top right front edge which is not noticeable at first glance, this has no shape edges and is solid. The bottom sides have some chips but again these have been treated and they will not progress any further. Is a lovely item looking for a new home. Items are usually delivered within two weeks. Local collection is available from south creake NR21. Any other information please feel free to get in touch.
